Happy Fourth of July!
This past weekend I got to spend the 4th of July in Lake Havasu, Arizona with family and friends. It was so much fun.
The first day was spent mostly on shore and on our family friend's boat and wave runners. I have found my soul, and it involves wave runners. I'm obsessed.
If you haven't had the chance to ever drive one, you need to. I'm not usually an adrenaline junkie, but man, these things will get you going.
The second day was the Fourth of July! We spent the day, again on the boats. After heading back to the house for dinner, we sailed back out around 8pm. We were then launched again out into the water which was now pitch black. However, the water was soon radiant with the lights of hundreds of boats and the sparkles of Roman Candles being launched out of the boats right beside us. It was amazing. At 9pm the fireworks began. The firework show was launched off shore and filled the sky with hundreds of jaw dropping illuminating fireworks.
Prior to this year, I had always seen the same firework show at the same spot in town. It was almost freeing to finally see a fireworks show that completely blew my mind.
The rest of the weekend consisted of lots of water, sunscreen, and smiles.
I hope you all had a wonderful and safe fourth. It's important to remember the reasons why we celebrate these types of holidays and give thanks to those who have and are serving our country.
Stay Beautiful,
Megs.
